Research standard

Hard facts (dates, times, prices, addresses, rules) are taken from primary sources: the venue, the event organizer, the cruise line or PortMiami, the City of Miami Beach, NOAA, and transit agencies. Anything a reader will spend money or time on is corroborated by a second independent source, or the page says plainly that it is not yet confirmed.

Dates and prices

Prices are shown as from prices or ranges with the date they were checked. Every guide carries a last reviewed date and is refreshed on a schedule tied to its season.

Rankings

Best lists are editorial judgments, labeled with the criteria used on the page. No business can pay for a ranking.

Corrections

When a fact turns out to be wrong, we fix the page, update its fact sheet, and record the correction. Email corrections to info@thingsmia.com.

Photography

Photos come from royalty free libraries, principally Unsplash and Pexels, under their licenses, and from our own photography. A photo of an area is captioned as the area; we do not present a generic photo as a specific property.
